WMG is an academic department within the University of Warwick, UK. However, WMG alone bring in 25% of the research income of the university with an annual programme of £200million. WMG serves as a bridge between academia & industry focussing on applied research to solve real world problems. Founded in 1980 by Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya to reinvigorate British manufacturing, WMG has grown to over 600 staff and has taught over 35,000 students from 75 countries on Masters and Doctoral programmes.
