TIBU Health establishes low cost, tech-enabled outpatient healthcare services in partner retail outlets such as pharmacies and grocery stores. This healthcare distribution model holds substantial value as over 60% of people use neighbourhood pharmacies as their first point of contact with healthcare services but often receive such services from unqualified providers. To date, it has seen over 60,000 patients, carried out over 45,000 diagnostic investigations, held over 80,000 virtual consultations and partnered with 23 health insurance providers to provide primary healthcare services to millions of people in East Africa.
