Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev) is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 that creates access to decent work, entrepreneurship opportunities, and platforms for Africans through digital skills empowerment and advocacy. Our vision is to equip Africans with digital and life skills that foster economic prosperity, financial freedom, and sustainable development. We are encouraged to empower more people in our society because of the number of lives impacted by our initiatives and the opportunities for the financial and economic freedom we create for Africans. Over the last five years, we have reached over 10 million people directly and indirectly across Nigeria.

SDG 5 - Gender Equality
SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth
Why We Care
Nigeria's unemployment rate stands at 27.1 per cent in the second quarter of 2021, and this increase is exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and continuous drop in oil prices. Technology will become a driving force within many formal and informal organizations over the next decade; several industries will experience disruptions in workplace skills. The disruptions will also lead to the emergence of new jobs, and as new jobs are created, employees will need to develop new skills to stay relevant in the workplace. We want to be at the forefront of helping people acquire these new skills.
