Sylvatex (SVX) is a US-based climate tech company future-proofing the manufacturing of the cathode in lithium-ion batteries. Its next-generation cathode active material manufacturing process uses off-the-shelf equipment, adds optionality to the composition of the material and broadens the range of critical material inputs. It is a drop-in material with a lower cost, reduced capital needs and a smaller carbon footprint. Sylvatex has won numerous awards and funding at industry conferences and venture funding competitions and has collaborated with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LNBL) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
