MonoJO, a biotech company in the Middle East established in 2005 by Penelope Shihab, is a hub for biotech innovations and a leading light for pharmacists and biotechnologists in Jordan. In 2014, MonoJo launched SkinUE, a line of four high-end products that use camel milk antibodies to nourish, moisturize, protect skin and control acne breakouts. It provides services including consultation, JFDA registration, training, and food and cosmetics testing services. MonoJO has its own training centre, providing courses to pharmacists and biotechnologists. MonoJO also has an applied scientific research fund to support healthcare innovators and entrepreneurs in the Arab region.
