Max Planck Society (MPG)

Max Planck Society is a non-profit research organisation based in Germany, established in 1948 to promote cutting-edge basic research in the natural, life and social sciences, and the humanities. It operates through more than 80 institutes and facilities that are largely autonomous in their research and organization, but integrated under the society’s central governance. The Max Planck Society is internationally recognized for scientific excellence, with its institutes producing numerous Nobel laureates and pioneering discoveries that advance global understanding and innovation.
