LunaDNA

LunaPBC empowers individuals to securely share health information for research and receive ownership shares in the platform for their data.It is chartered to drive societal value through the aggregation and organization of genomic and health data at a scale and diversity rich enough to solve today's greatest health challenges. LunaPBC founded LunaDNA, the first people-powered, community-owned data sharing platform. LunaDNA members consent for their data to join the pool of de-identified, aggregated data for research. SEC-qualified in December 2018, LunaDNA members receive ownership shares in LunaDNA for data. LunaPBC believes doing right by people is also great for research and has operationalized the platform where 1) individuals always control their data; data never leaves the platform, 2) all individuals bring equal value to the platform; increased value is based on increased level of contribution, 3) individuals deserve privacy, control, and transparency in sharing data, and 4) individuals should share in the value created from their data.
