In December 2016, the representatives of eight districts in the six provinces, namely Musi Banyuasin, Rokan Hulu, Siak, Batanghari, Labuan batu Utara, Sintang, Sanggau, and Sigi held the first formal event announcing the creation of a Sustainable District Platform Forum. Sustainable District Platform is a district level partnership which seeks to advance jurisdictional sustainability in the cultivation of agricultural goods to ensure a balance between the economic, social and environment well-being of the communities implicated. The Secretariat of the LTKL will coordinate the efforts of the 6 to 8 districts to leverage synergies of its members and partner organizations, ensuring the engagement of the private sector and CSOs as well as providing technical support where necessary. This Forum can support the greater alignment between the national and regional action plans for sustainable agricultural production.
