Kav-Or

Kav-Or is a non-profit association that provides distance learning programmes and a virtual playground for hospitalized children in Israel. Kav-Or helps children continue their education while hospitalized by designing a learning environment in order to make hospital classrooms a more friendly, colourful place and develops medical database presentations and materials that are accessible to children and their parents that might help them understand and internalize the medical or surgical procedures they are undergoing. Every year, over 120,000 hospitalized children receive its services in 27 hospitals. It operates an Internet site translated into Arabic and enables activities in other languages as well.
