The International Digital Accountability Council (IDAC) is an independent watchdog ensuring a fair and trustworthy digital and app marketplace for consumers worldwide through monitoring, investigation, education and collaboration with platforms and developers. Originally incubated at the Future of Privacy Forum, it is working to restore consumer trust in how personal information is collected, used, shared, and stored online. IDAC is composed of experienced data privacy lawyers, consumer protection experts, and technologists devoted to improving the digital landscape. IDAC is investigating misconduct, educating developers and platforms and remediating problems and notifying the public when there is a risk of consumer harm.
