Equity Bank

Equity Bank is a commercial bank that operates in the Eastern Africa region in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and South Sudan. It started operating in 1984 as a building society, became a bank in 2004, and was the first microfinance bank to be publicly listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. It has over 8 million deposit accounts and is home to 51% of all bank accounts in Kenya.
