The Chapada Institute for Education and Research (ICEP) aims to eliminate illiteracy in Brazil. Its vision is to have 100% of children under the age of 8 living in territories where ICEP works fully literate before they reach that age. This achievement will be the result of ICEP's three strategies: permanent training of educators, social mobilization and knowledge management. By working with several segments, the institute promotes the strengthening of local collaborative networks.
