Based on Marajó Island, Awí Superfoods ventures into the river communities of the Amazon biome in search of ingredients and flavours. Awí Superfoods is a Brazilian "food-for-good tech" that envisions a holistic ecosystem and global movement valuing the Amazon bioeconomy on Marajó Island by creating nutritious and regenerative superfoods. Awí strengthens supply chains through its model eco-farm school, R&D, a 3-year programme to train 6 cooperatives, and the renovation of a biofactory for various fruits and acai. It also develops nutrient-dense superfood sorbets and disseminates green technologies (renewable energy, energy efficiency and biodegradable packaging) in its supply chains.
