The value of the ocean economy could exceed $3 trillion by 2030, yet marine ecosystems are rapidly deteriorating due to climate change, pollution and overexploitation. How can data and digital technology help preserve ocean health?

This session is associated with the Affiliate Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Ocean.

The first 30 minutes of this session will be a livestreamed plenary, followed by a 30-minute private dialogue. Simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese will be available during the plenary part of this session.
