Eight years after its founding, the World Economic Forum began its engagement with China in 1979. This year, the Forum was formally recognized by the Federal Council of Switzerland as the Institution for Public-Private Cooperation. As the first such institution, what does the new status mean for the Forum, and how will it shape its future relationship with China?
