Tasso Azevedo is founder and General Coordinator of MapBiomas, a collaborative network of more than 70 organisations in Brazil and 14 other countries that monitors land use to promote conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. He is also Technical Coordinator of the Climate Observatory in Brazil, the general coordinator of the Brazilian Greenhouse Gas Estimation System and founder of the Forest and Agricultural Management and Certification Institute. A research associate at the Brazil Lab at Princeton University, Tasso was the architect of the Amazon Fund, set up to fight deforestation.
