Maximilian Stern is a member of the Global Shapers Hub Zurich, a Mercator Fellow on international Affairs and a co-founder of foraus. In 2011/12 he was an Associate of the Berlin-based interdisciplinary think-tank „Stiftung Neue Verantwortung“ and its research team on collaborative democracy.

Maximilian gathered his profound knowledge of Swiss, European and international politics during his studies in political science at the Universities of Zurich and Munich as well as at the European Council on Foreign Relations’ Berlin office.
