This White Paper addresses the safe and environmentally responsible management of LAB recycling. It provides a series of recommendations for policy-makers, describes best practices for the safe management of lead battery recycling and highlights the economic and health benefits of fostering the adoption of these practices globally. It also seeks to contribute to work undertaken in the context of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal (the Basel Convention).
