Bangladesh has nearly universal enrollment in primary education, but only 64% will go on to complete secondary school. The high dropout rate reflects various systemic issues, including a lack of access to quality education and the poor financial condition of many rural households.
In order to provide a modern, far-reaching tool to supplement traditional teacher training, the ‘Teacher’s Portal’ was launched by Aspire to Innovate (a2i), a program of the Bangladesh government’s digital agenda. This allows teachers to access professional development without any language barriers and at affordable costs.
