This Rapidly Melting Glacier In Italy Has Lost 26 Meters In 4 Years

The Fellaria glacier in Lombardy, Italy, has lost 26 meters of ice thickness in just 4 years between summer 2019 and summer 2022. Global heating is shrinking glaciers across the planet. UNESCO says glaciers at a third of the sites it monitors will probably vanish by 2050. Other fast melting glaciers include those in the Yosemite and Yellowstone parks in the US, on Mount Kilimanjaro, and at every UNESCO site in Africa. Here’s more.
