Researchers Are Matching Drivers With Their Perfect EVs

They say this could help to dispel range anxiety and encourage more drivers to go electric. Researchers at the University of Delaware monitored 333 petrol-powered cars over 1-3 years. They logged each driver’s annual mileage as well as every individual trip and stop. They compared this with data on the range and charging speeds of EVs available today The researchers found that the needs of up to 37% of drivers can be met by EVs with smaller batteries as long as there are local charging points.
