Helsinki’s Hot Heart Project Will Heat The City Renewably

Currently, Helsinki’s heating systems are heavily reliant on coal. When it’s finished in 2028, the Hot Heart project will cover the city’s entire heating needs at a 10% lower cost than today. Hot Heart project creator Carlo Ratti is a specialist in designs that incorporate nature. Previously he remodeled an Italian farmhouse around a 60-year-old tree. Carlo Ratti’s Hot Heart is one of UpLink’s BiodiverCities Top Innovators. Watch for more.
