Gargee Ghosh, Director of Development Policy and Finance (DPAF), leads the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s engagement with the international development financing system. The team’s work includes policy research and grant-making in the areas of aid policy and country financing, and strategic partnerships with international financial institutions. Prior to taking on this role in 2012, Gargee held senior positions at Google.org as well as in the International Development practice of McKinsey & Company. Gargee worked in the Global Health group of the Gates Foundation from 2005-2009 on innovative finance, helping to launch significant efforts in immunization financing and in impact investing. Prior to this, Gargee worked at the Center for Global Development. In addition to her foundation responsibilities, Gargee is currently serving a two-year term on President Obama’s Global Development Council.
