Next Generation Leadership for a World in Transformation: Driving Dialogue and Action

Leadership models once built on stability and hierarchy can no longer sustain themselves in a world marked by constant transformation, accelerating change, and complex interdependencies. The widespread erosion of trust in leaders and institutions worldwide is not the cause; it is a symptom of a more profound crisis. Leadership practices have failed to evolve at the pace of reality, of crises unfolding.

Given the continuous evolution of the world around us, we cannot move from one monolithic notion of leadership to the next – there won’t be “the” future leadership, but leadership futures that we actively need to shape through ongoing dialogue, collaboration, and action. This report suggests a systemic approach to rewiring the foundations of leadership through four elements that are relevant across time, sectors, and regions:
Starting with the leadership pipeline and the selection of leaders, then exploring how they are trained, how they make decisions and take action, and ultimately, how they manage succession and leave a lasting legacy.
