Pim Valdre

Head of Climate & Nature Economy, Member of the Executive Committee, World Economic Forum

Pim is the Head of the Economic and Policy Agenda at the Centre for Nature and Climate of the World Economic Forum, where she is leading work to advance a thriving climate-safe and nature-positive economy. She has 15+ years of experience working in the intersection of international diplomacy, sustainability and climate and industry decarbonization. She leads the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders and the Forum´s Climate and Nature Governance agenda working to elevate climate and nature as a board room priority. Prior to the Forum, she served the United Nations working in the Office of the President of the General Assembly (2005-2006) and in the Executive Office of the UN Secretary General (2012-2015) covering sustainable development, humanitarian and political affairs. She was a Special Adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Sweden´s UN Security Council membership (2017-2018). She holds a MA and BA in political science from Uppsala University in Sweden also completed studies at Institute d’Etudes de Science-Politiques in Paris.
