Olivier Brandicourt

Studied medicine in Paris; specialized in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, University of Paris V; Advanced Degree in Cellular and Immunological Pathophysiology, Paris Descartes University; Master’s degree in Biology, University of Paris XII. 1987, started career in the pharmaceutical industry as Medical Director, Region Africa, Warner-Lambert/Parke-Davis; there, held other senior positions in medical and marketing; then appointed General Manager, Canada. Spent eight years with the Institute of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, with a focus on malaria research in West and Central Africa, and two years in the Republic of Congo as a doctor. 2000-13, leadership positions, Pfizer, culminating as Member, Executive Leadership Team and as President and General Manager, Emerging Markets and Established Products business units. 2013-15, Chief Executive Officer, Bayer Healthcare. April 2015, joined Sanofi as Chief Executive Officer.
