Following this, appointed Deputy Chair of the SPD parliamentary group. 2011-18, served as Mayor of Hamburg. February to April 2018, Acting Chair of the SPD. Federal Minister of Finance and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany from March 2018-December 2021.
