Mexican economist based in Switzerland, Mario works at the intersection of strategic partnerships, innovation, and international cooperation. At the World Economic Forum, he develops partnerships with leading companies across industries and regions. He previously worked on trade, technology, and digital payments initiatives at the Forum, helping partners engage more fully with the platform while strengthening communication around their activities. Before joining the Forum, he managed the Global Innovation Index at WIPO, overseeing its production and global dissemination and working with governments and other stakeholders to strengthen innovation ecosystems. Mario is fluent in English and Spanish and has intermediate proficiency in French. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and swimming.
