Joined Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and worked to bring statehood to the region of Telangana. Travelled the length and breadth of the state and interacted with people to understand their problems and aspirations, which later helped in shaping political career. 2009, made political entry in the Assembly elections. Has been a 3-time MLA and assumed current cabinet positions in September 2019 in the new state of Telangana.
