Also co-director with Conrad von Kameke of TIGTech - a WEF supported project exploring the drivers of trust and distrust in technology governance. The TIGTech initiative seeks to understand how governance may differ, and in what ways, if the earning of trust is considered and incorporated into technology governance design.
Works with policy-makers, business, civil society groups and academia to explore how this can be achieved in practice – particularly through new approaches to trustworthy governance and risk management together with public and stakeholder involvement in tech development. Works across technologies, including biotech and gene editing, artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotech, advanced materials and most recently quantum tech.
Currently a member of the Agile Governance Global Future Council, previously Co-Chair, GFC Values, Ethics and Innovation, before that GFC Human Rights and Global Agenda Council on Nanotechnology, World Economic Forum.
