Gustavo Grobocopatel is an Agronomic Engeneer. He graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1984, where he taught Soil Management. In 2000, he studied European Production Systems and Agriculture at the Iowa State University.
He is the CEO of Grupo Los Grobo and Member of the Board at Bioceres S.A. (a biotechnology company). He is also Member of the Economic Council of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and a Member of the Board of Escuelas del Bicentenario.
Gustavo Grobocopatel paticipates of the International Council of Fundacion Don Cabral of Brazil and the International Council of EGADE – TEC de Monterrey (Mexico).
He is Member of the Board of various business associations such as Asociación Empresaria Argentina (AEA) and Endeavor Argentina, and he is currently President of the Agribusiness Chapter of LIDE Argentina.
Besides, he is Secretary and Founding Parner of Cámara Argentina de Biotecnología.
Gustavo Grobocopatel has received major awards such as the Domingo F. Sarmiento Prize, granted by the Argentine Senate in 2004 for his contribution to the community and institutions, as well as the award to the "most creative Argentine", granted by the Círculo de Creativos de la Republica Argentina in 2007. He also received the Platinum Konex Award to the Agribusiness entrepreneur of the Decade.
Moreover, he was awarded with the Prize to Excellence as the most distinguished businessman of Latin America, according to the América Economía Magazine, and the Prize to Corporate Leadership by the Public Relations Professional council of Argentina.
In 2011 he was granted with the Entrepreneur of the year award by Ernst & Young, and in 2012 with the Businessman of the Year award by ComunicaRSE, for his contribution to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Also in 2012 he was awarded with the Leading Businessman by Universidad Siglo XXI, and in 2013 he received the Innovative CEO prize by PWC and Cronista newspaper.
