Daniel is a technologist, agricultural economist, and an entrepreneur. He has spent the last 18 years working at the nexus of development, entrepreneurship, and science. He started as a project officer in an integrated food security program. He then led a team of experts on USAID funded Trade and Investment program on commodity value chains. In research, he conducted a pioneering research on post-harvest management of perishables using advanced remote sensing techniques. These models have become the backbone of a new mobile app, called CHEETAH. Daniel’s passion is to bridge the technological gap in Africa’s rural areas and to this end, he has spoken widely at international conferences promoting the digitization of rural African economies.
