Our infrastructure includes 14,000+ km of optical fiber infrastructure and 10,000+ 2G/3G/4G/5G base stations, enabling reliable mobile and fixed voice, data and content services for consumers, businesses and public institutions. UNITEL is a pioneer of 5G in Angola and continues to expand its 4G footprint nationwide.
UNITEL contributes to innovation and entrepreneurship through partnerships that support the national startup ecosystem, including the Angola Startup Summit by UNITEL. We promote financial inclusion through UNITEL Money, our mobile payments platform.
Sustainability and trust are embedded in our operations: in 2024, UNITEL published its first ESG Report, prepared with reference to the 2021 GRI Standards. Our contribution to food security includes UNICANDA, our farm where we demonstrate the use of digital technologies. We are investing in renewable energy to support our network operations, with many base stations operating exclusively on solar energy and on hybrid solar/diesel solutions.
