The UAE Space Agency's primary mandates are to: develop, organize, support, guide and coordinate the growing space sector in the United Arab Emirates (UAE); develop and use space science and technology within the UAE; develop the necessary space policies and regulations; establish international partnerships in the space sector; and raise awareness of the importance of the space sector. UAE investments in space technologies exceed $5 billion, including satellite data communications and television broadcasts, mobile satellite communications, and Earth mapping and observation systems.
