RWE is a leading company for renewable energies. It has a capacity of 10 gigawatts based on renewables including hydropower and biomass, a gas fleet and an energy trading business. RWE aims to invest in onshore and offshore wind power, photovoltaics and storage technologies. As a driver of the energy transition, RWE is also focusing on innovative projects such as floating offshore and the production and use of hydrogen. It also generates electricity from nuclear energy and coal. The company owns a portfolio of 44 gigawatts of generating capacity and employs 20,000 people worldwide. RWE aims for carbon neutrality by 2040.
