Panama Canal Authority (ACP)
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) engages in the administration, operation, conservation, maintenance, modernization and other related activities of the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal is some 80 kilometres long between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It serves approximately 144 maritime routes connecting 160 countries and reaching 1,700 ports worldwide. The company also provides vessel transit services, generates and sells thermal and hydroelectric power, and sells potable water. The ACP is based in Balboa, Republic of Panama.
