Founded in 1977, Descon Engineering is active in the engineering, chemical and power industries. It is based in Pakistan and has locations in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Afghanistan. Its engineering business provides design, construction, manufacturing and maintenance services for industrial and infrastructure projects, including turnkey services. Its chemical business manufactures chemicals for the paint, paper and textile industries, and its power generation business has a 450-megawatt power plant in Pakistan. It employs over 20,000 people from 20 nationalities.
