Cultivo is a fintech focused on investing in nature at scale. Cultivo acts as a bridge to unite the objectives of landowners, NGOs and investors with a business model where financial, natural and social returns are all necessary and intertwined. The company unlocks investment at scale to restore nature and generate ecosystem services, with projects already benefiting the livelihoods of 200 families, in many cases indigenous communities and small landowners in Latin America and the Caribbean. The current pipeline of 160 million hectares amounts to 1% of the world’s land area, sitting in 17 countries and in 4 different continents. These lands, through their restoration, will generate 290 million tons of CO2 in 30 year’s time, with the important additional generation of social, water and biodiversity benefits. Cultivo’s vision is to unlock a further 3 billion USD in investment which means removing 1 billion tons of CO2 and the creation of 50 billion of value coming from natural capital
