BC Partners is an international private equity group that has been operating primarily in Europe since 1986. It expanded into North America in 2008. It manages $16 billion of equity capital. It invests in control buyout transactions. Its portfolio companies include: PetSmart, a pet supplies retailer; Intelsat, a satellite operator; Suddenlink, a cable operator in the US; Accudyne, a manufacturer of engineered pumps and compressors; Springer, a publisher of academic and professional books and journals; and Migros, a food retailer in Turkey.
