Partnering for Sustainable Energy Innovation

According to the International Energy Agency, 3 out of 26 assessed technologies “needed” for the achievement of long-term climate change targets set as part of the Paris Agreement are on track. This project aims to significantly accelerate the pace of sustainable energy innovation and market adoption of new energy technologies and solutions. It will do this by catalysing multistakeholder partnerships and advocating bold ideas targeted at policy and financial mechanisms.

The project is working closely with decision-makers to implement new ideas for bringing innovative energy technologies and solutions faster to market. Discussions are ongoing with stakeholders in the UK and the European Commission to develop co-investment mechanisms to increase private-sector participation in early-stage energy innovation.
