Shailendra is a Managing Director at Sequoia Capital India & SEA. He joined the firm in 2006 and leads Sequoia’s activities in India & ASEAN region. Shailendra has served on the firm’s Global Governing Council since 2013. Sequoia India and SEA has made over 600 investments in technology, consumer and financial services startups over the last 16+ years. Shailendra was included on the Forbes Midas List of top global VC’s in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He has led several successful investments including Go-Jek, Tokopedia, Pine Labs, Cred, Unacademy and Druva. Shailendra received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay.
