Manuel Rybach

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, EFG International

Manuel Rybach is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of EFG International, based in Zurich.

Previously, he was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and served as Global Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Foresight. Before that, he was Global Head of Public Affairs and Policy as well as Global Head of Corporate Citizenship and Foundations at Credit Suisse. He also managed the bank's global Regulatory Affairs department, led the Sustainability Affairs team, was Head of International Relations in the Chairman's Office, served as Head of Public Policy APAC as well as Chief of Staff to the CEO APAC, based in Hong Kong, managed the Credit Suisse Research Institute and was Head of Governmental Affairs, based in Zurich. He has also been based in Singapore and Washington, DC, working on public policy issues. He started his career at Credit Suisse in the Economic Research department in Zurich, where he was a Senior Economist.

Manuel Rybach holds a doctorate degree from the University of St. Gallen (Dr. rer. publ. HSG), Switzerland, where he is a Lecturer on Public Affairs and was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

He was member of the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Future Council on Investing and served on the WEF’s Global Future Council on the Humanitarian System and the WEF's Global Agenda Council on the Future of Financing and Capital as well as the WEF’s Steering Committee on Promoting Global Financial Inclusion.
