Prepared and led major transformations to modernize French Airforce's capabilities and organization. Took part in many operations as a fighter pilot, as a staff officer and as Commander in the Balkans and in Africa. 2012-15, led NATO's military transformation. As NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), supported the 28 Allied Nations in preparing the future together in terms of military strategy, capability development , education, training and exercises. Ahead of Allied Command Transformation, developed ambitious plans to increase NATO's military efficiency and readiness through improved multinational cooperation, reenergized exercise policy and innovation. Put a high priority on NATO's forces operational preparation. Recipient of awards and honours: Curtis Prize within the 84th Royal Air Force Advanced Staff Course; Great Officer, Légion d'Honneur; Officer, National Order of Merit; Aeronautics' medal.
