Impact Report: Engaging Young People in Decision-Making

The Global Shapers Impact Report is the World Economic Forum’s flagship publication on the issues that matter most to young people. It shows that when young people are empowered with real opportunities to learn, lead, and innovate, they become a transformative force for change, locally and globally. This year’s edition draws on insights from 3,989 young experts across 142 countries, making a compelling case: youth engagement isn’t just valuable—it’s vital to driving the progress our world urgently needs.

Network

What started in just a few capital cities has grown into a dynamic global network across more than 150 countries. Today, 500 vibrant hubs thrive in major cities, rural areas, remote islands, and refugee camps. If you want to make a difference, we have a place for you.


Impact

Our members have led 3,000 social change initiatives that have impacted over 20 million people. From environmental protection to building inclusive communities, our members drive bold solutions through collective action, tackling often overlooked challenges.

Innovation

With Accenture and the Global Alliance for YOUth, we launched an Innovation Prize to empower next-generation changemakers and scale leading solutions. This initiative brings young professionals in direct exchange with business leaders to drive innovation globally.
