Teruka Sumiya is a Project Specialist of the Agile Governance at the World Economic Forum Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Japan. Piror to the Forum, Teruka engaged in new business development at a venture business in environmental industry as well as in a community-based water source project in Uganda as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV). From 2017, Teruka acted as a researcher at the non-profit organization for open innovations, while working on new business development with blockchain at LIFULL Co., Ltd. In 2019, Teruka has launched Pnika, with a mission to connect innovators with policy makers, experts and citizens to redesign legal systems for innovations. She was in the Master's Program at Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University, under a theme "Design and Evaluation of an Autonomous-Practice Process that Supports Non-Experts to Take Actions toward Proposing Revision of Laws and Regulations". Sumika also holds bachelor degree at Faculty of Liberal Arts at Sophia University.
