Stefanie M. Falconi

WEF Fellow to Global Future Council, Senior Researcher at Igarape Institute

Stefanie is a Policy Entrepreneur and a senior researcher at Igarape Institute, working to improve sustainable competitiveness, strategy, and governance in the face of climate risk. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. She is alumni of the Faculty for the Future Fellowship, Global Solutions Program Fellow (Google sponsored) at SingularityU, and Skoll Forum delegate. Her work in Sustainability and Innovation began at The Earth Institute, Columbia University, over 15 years ago and today spans four continents. As a Policy Entrepreneur, she provides modeling tools for stakeholder engagement to improve decisions and strengthen institutions that govern over resources.
She has been an invited speaker to the U.S. State Department, the Institute of Water Resources, the World Resource Institute, and several academic institutions in Brazil, Ecuador, and the USA.
She was raised in Ecuador, educated in the USA, and currently resides in Brazil.
