Chaitra made a transition to the education sector hoping to gain an understanding of what it takes to reform education at scale. She has been engaging with that question for the past decade - first as an elementary teacher and eventually leading an in-service teacher development programme for public school educators in Pune, India. Her current work as the Director, Leadership and Development at Bridge International Academies involves designing, implementing and evaluating professional development for teachers and school leaders across five countries in Africa and Asia. Chaitra holds a degree in engineering from Pune University and a Masters in International Education Policy from Harvard University.
