Anne Toth is the Head of Data Policy at the World Economic Forum and is a member of the leadership team at the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining the Forum, Anne was the Vice President of People & Policy for Slack Technologies, Inc. where she managed privacy, security, policy and compliance, along with people operations and recruiting. She joined Slack as the 50th employee and first woman executive hired at the world’s fastest-growing business enterprise software company.
Anne was the Head of Privacy for Google's social products and was Yahoo!'s Chief Trust Officer overseeing privacy, data policy, data governance, child safety, community standards and content policy, and other policy related areas. She holds the distinction of being the first fully dedicated privacy and data protection professional at any internet company, joining Yahoo! in June 1998. In this capacity she testified before Congress about online privacy and behavioral advertising and before the Article 29 Working Party in Europe on search data retention policies.
Anne is a graduate of Wellesley College with a degree in Economics. She attended the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
